2021 World Choir Festival
Artistic Director: Prof. Leon Tong

- CONGRATULATIONS -

THE 2021 World Choir Festival was successfully held on 12th – 13th June 2021. It was the first online festival organised by WYCCAA since the pandemic. We are very happy that it is supported and participated by 50 international jury members and almost 200 choirs.

Each choir had an opportunity to meet one-to-one with a jury member of the category competition, receiving the results and valuable feedback. We also streamed 4 masterclasses and 3 concerts by world-leading choirs such as Vesna Children’s Choir (Russia), Sofia Vokalensemble (Sweden), and 5 outstanding choirs from Hong Kong and Mainland, China. In addition, a showcase concert of 24 selected “Gold Award” competition performances was presented as well.

In the Final Competition, 13 choirs competed for the “Choir of the World Award”, Jury’s Prize (both came cash prizes), and 15 Grand Prizes. All competition results are posted below.

We are very happy to report that the programmes over the weekend had over 70k views across Chinese and international streaming platforms.
